Open Deck & Over-Dimensional
Load of the Month: Pop-Up Fast Food Restaurant
Recently, ZMac had the pleasure – and challenge – of helping a major fast food chain undertake the beginning of an innovative new project. The ZMac team was approached in April to help haul a 20,000-pound prefabricated building halfway across the country. The pop-up restaurant was the first of its kind and we were excited to have the chance to be a part of a potentially game changing project for our client’s industry. Luckily our expertise made us an ideal partner. Given the size of this load, transportation was no easy feat, but one ZMac eagerly jumped in to accommodate.
Quick facts of the load:
- 52’ long
- 19’ wide
- 14’ tall
- 20,000 lbs.
As you can probably imagine, transporting something this size takes careful planning and execution. But with many years of experience in hauling over-dimensional freight, ZMac was able to ensure the trip went off without a hitch. The pop-up restaurant made its way safely from its manufacturing location in Nebraska all the way up to Illinois. Night travel was required for some of the journey but thanks to the police escorts provided that was no issue.
