Here at ZMac, celebrating is a big part of our culture. So, if there’s an opportunity to celebrate, we do it up right. Such was the case earlier this summer as our entire company gathered for ZMac’s inaugural Anniversary Luncheon.

Now, some companies might commemorate employment anniversaries with a boilerplate email announcement (or maybe no acknowledgment at all). Well, that’s not ZMac. Not by a long shot.

Cue the Rollin’ Smoke food truck in the ZMac parking lot dishing out lip-smacking good eats. Cue the nail-biter-of-a-cornhole tournament. (For those of you outside of Wisconsin, we’re talking highly humorous and amazingly competitive bean bag toss games.) Cue the sunny noonday skies near the shores of Lake Michigan. Put it all together, and you’ve got ZMac’s newest tradition; our first Anniversary Luncheon to honor our outstanding team members as they hit another year mark with us.

In between heaping mouthfuls of pulled pork, pulled chicken and Italian beef sandwiches, two types of mouthwatering mac and cheese, and world-class nachos, we sang the praises of our celebrating teammates. (Granted, after stuffing ourselves silly for 2 hours, our singing was slightly off-key, yet passionate, nonetheless.)

We know the customary first-anniversary gift is paper, the second-anniversary gift is cotton, and so on. But, let’s get real. Paper and cotton don’t hold a candle to buffalo mac and cheese.
