ZMac Transportation examines available load trends across the country to help evaluate market capacity. A few months ago, we highlighted the available loads OUTBOUND from a regional area perspective. This month we snapshot the average number of available loads INBOUND to those regions.
The accompanying chart details the average number of available loads inbound to geographic regions in the past year. You can see that the Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes areas have experienced the most dramatic changes over the past year. While the Gulf South and Southeast regions show moderate change for inbound traffic, these two areas were the most volatile for outbound traffic. The Great Plains, Southwest and Mountain West regions have experienced steady inbound traffic, just as they reflected for outbound traffic.
