Looking back on this past year, the number of available loads nationwide was certainly disappointing. The market never had the sustained tightening of capacity we had anticipated. You’ll see in the accompanying chart comparing this year to last, the peaks and drops reflect similar patterns, but the number of available loads was far less than last year. On average, the number of available loads was 52% less per month than last year. While capacity has leveled the past two months, market analysts report that current flatbed capacity is more readily available than in any of the previous six years.
